Job Description

**PRIMARY PURPOSE:**

The Entertainment Technician Supervisor of Sound is responsible for operating daily que tracks and overseeing technical staff assigned to operate and maintain job related disciplines and equipment involved with the theatre. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and company policies, practices and procedures.

**PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:**

+ Oversee and maintain detailed records for the inspection, maintenance, and operation of all theatre sound including the main PA, delays and surround; amplifiers and outboard equipment, stage mix and monitor matrix; video and audio systems, audio desks, and fire mutes.

+ Direct Supervision of personnel assigned to FOH and Stage Sound and Video throughout the theatre.

+ In collaboration with theatre leadership, perform personnel functions as assigned by Production Manager, including but not limited to supervising sign in sheets and crew schedules.

+ Maintain professional relationships with internal and external guests of MGMRI, our resident show partner and talent booked into the Theatre. Maintain the Artistic Vision set forth by Talent/Artist within MGMRI and Department Guidelines.

+ Daily operation of que tracks; hands‐on inspections, preventative maintenance and repair of MGMRI & MGM Grand LV show related assets.

**MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:**

+ Minimum five of experience working a live show, technical theatre and/or a showroom in a college or resort setting.

+ Minimum three years in a Supervisory role

+ High School diploma or equivalent

+ Work varied shifts, with emphasis on nights, weekends, and all major holidays

**PREFERRED:**

+ Seven years of experience working in a live stage show in a college or resort setting

+ Five years in a Supervisory role

+ Personal man lift, boom lift, scissor lift, fall protection experience

**CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:**

+ OSHA 30 Required
