Job Description

It is the primary responsibility of the Collections & Compliance Specialist to adhere to department policies and procedures ensuring the timely collection of casino account receivables, audit for Title 31 and Reg. 22 compliance, distribute Title 31 information, conduct Title 31 training, and audit controls of property income and assets for both gaming and non-gaming operations. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and property policies, practices, and procedures.

Specific Job Functions:

+ Monitor the collection efforts of all casino account receivables, returned checks and delinquent hotel accounts.

+ Prepare detailed aging reports of casino account receivables.

+ Maintain and monitor various collection reports on a monthly basis.

+ Oversee approved customer payment plans and evaluate the merit of settlement offers for recommendation to senior management.

+ Assess delinquent account receivables and place accounts with legal counsel, collection agencies, or the District Attorney, when department collection efforts have been exhausted.

+ Audit daily documentation for compliance with Title 31 and Reg. 22, ensuring that all transactions are reported in accordance with the guidance and requirements established by FINCEN.

+ Prepare exception notices when employees/departments are not in compliance with Title 31 or Reg. 22.

+ Analyze customer transactions, manually and with the use of casino systems, to identify risks and trends.

+ Prepare and submit Currency Transaction Report Casino (CTRC) and Book Wagering Reports (BWR) to the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) within the designated timeframes.

+ Review all Suspicious Activity Incident Reports (SAIR) submitted to the department by property operations.

+ Recommend updates for audit checklists to remain in compliance with current regulations.

+ Ensure department practices are compliant with company policies and legal requirements.

+ Conduct training for Title 31 and Reg. 22.

+ Prepare monthly collection and compliance status reports for management’s consideration and participate in monthly Collections & Compliance meetings.

+ Maintain current knowledge of federal, state and gaming laws pertaining to collections, Title 31 compliance and gaming procedures.

+ Perform all compliance audits, regulatory audits, and projects as assigned by department management.

+ Perform all duties deemed necessary for the success of the department and division.

+ Remain knowledgeable of the property’s AML program.

+ Minimum of two (2) years of experience in Title 31 and Reg. 22

+ Problem solving and analytical skills

+ Knowledge of casino collections, Title 31 compliance, casino cage and credit preferred

+ Detail oriented with a high degree of integrity

+ Ability to keep sensitive information confidential

+ An intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office required

+ Must have, or be able to obtain, a Gaming Registration

+ Professional appearance, communication, and demeanor a must
