Registered Nurse The primary purpose of the Radiation Oncology Registered Nurse is to provide appropriate clinical care, and education, and support the delivery of exceptional patient experience by responding to patient needs as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver high quality care. The Registered Nurse demonstrates competence in providing nursing care to the radiation oncology patient as specified by Nurse Practice Act, the Board of Nursing. The registered nurse is expected to observe, conceptualize, and analyse clinical or nonclinical problems related to health; and to utilize critical thinking, evidence-based practice to collaborate with the health care team. Responsibilities include clinical practice, education, research, and consultation, as appropriate.
