Laundry Specialist – MGM Grand
Job Description
**PRIMARY PURPOSE:**
As a Laundry Specialist, you will be responsible for operating laundry equipment. You will also set the stage for guest experience with your welcoming smile and service. By understanding their unique stories and needs, you will own their experience to create **WOW** memories they will carry with them far and beyond their stay with us.
**PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:**
+ Operate finishing equipment; flatwork ironer, spreader, terry folder
+ Adhere to established production requirements
+ Produces quality products
+ Work with a minimum amount of supervision
+ Know and follow all safety rules and regulations
+ Comply with OSHA requirements
**KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:**
+ Knowledgeable of hazardous chemicals, waste disposal, and toxic substance regulations related to the laundry and dry-cleaning industry
+ Ability to operate finishing equipment, including flatwork ironer, spreader and terry folder
+ Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and verbal forms
+ Excellent customer service skills and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all business contacts
+ Maintain a professional, neat and well-groomed appearance
**MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:**
+ High school diploma or equivalent
+ One (1) year of laundry production experience
+ Work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays
**PREFERRED:**
+ Experience in a similar resort setting
+ Knowledgeable of safety procedures and OSHA requirements
