Job Description

**PRIMARY PURPOSE:**

As a Special Events Representative, you will set the stage for guest experience with your welcoming smile and service. By understanding their unique stories and needs, you will own their experience to create **WOW** memories they will carry with them far and beyond their stay with us.

**PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:**

+ Analyze casino play and establish comp profiles for guest reservations

+ Collaborate with department associated with the event

+ Coordinate delivery of room amenities and floral orders daily

+ Ensure and enforce confidentiality of all casino information and VIP’s

+ Ensure charges, credits, and complimentaries are posted to individual guest folios

+ Identify, resolve, and report any safety concerns that could contribute to guest and/or staff experience

+ Process reservations and requests from guests, hosts, executives, and branch offices, including health spa and golf reservations

+ Provide general information and directions about casino, hotel, and local metropolitan area

+ Report unusual events, circumstances, missing items, or alleged thefts to Supervisor, and/or Security

+ Perform other job-related duties as requested

**KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:**

+ Able to work under the guidance, leadership and direction of the department manager

+ General knowledge of mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division

+ Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and verbal forms

+ Ability to communicate effectively, concisely and logically in a timely manner and at an appropriate level, while maintaining confidentiality

+ Ability to work under pressure

+ Perception and awareness of individual needs and the ability to handle all situations calmly and professionally

+ Ability to multi-task and work well in a fast paced, team-oriented environment

+ Basic knowledge of computer software to include Outlook, MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint as well as office equipment, i.e. telephone, copier, fax machine

+ Effective listening abilities with strong judgment skills

+ Excellent customer service skills and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all business contacts

+ Maintain a professional, neat and well-groomed appearance adhering to company standards

**MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:**

+ Work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays

**PREFERRED:**

+ High school diploma or equivalent

+ Six (6) months experience in a casino

+ Experience working in a similar resort setting
