Job Title: FIELD NURSE PRACTITIONER Job Location: Las Vegas, Nevada, United States Job Type: Direct hire Industry: Healthcare / Health Services – Nursing / LPNs / LVNs Job Category: Medical / Health – Nurse Primary duties may include, but are not limited to: Performs health assessments and preventative health measures within prescribed guidelines and physician instructions. Orders interpret and evaluate diagnostic tests to identify and assess patients’ clinical problems and health care needs. Discusses case with physician. Formulates and documents care plan. Prescribes medication or other forms of treatment. Participates in On-Call program, which may include after-hours, weekend, and holiday calls and visitations. Requires an MS in Nursing and a minimum of 1 year of related experience with clinical emphasis for nurse practitioner; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. Current unrestricted RN licenses and NP licenses in Nevada are required. For CareMore business units, satisfactory completion of a Tuberculosis test is a requirement for this position. SKILLS AND CERTIFICATIONS [note: bold skills and certification are required] Nevada NP license DEA License IDEAL CANDIDATE The ideal candidate will be excited about providing care to our geriatric high-risk patients. This position is heavy in disease management and palliative care. They will be seeing patients every other week, and the total census load is around 90 patients. The ideal candidate will be able to pivot for those high-risk patients, is autonomous, and has superior critical thinking and problem-solving skills. The ideal candidate will also be someone who will really take ownership of these patients and care for this position.
