Event Production Supervisor

**PRIMARY PURPOSE:**
It is the primary responsibility of the Production Supervisor to supervise the production team and ensure that fabrication projects are completed on time, in budget and meet company standards.
**PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:**
+ Supervise production team to including fabrication, woodshop, paint, fabric and costumes and ensure a safe environment to produce that work is complete, accurate, properly packaged, and delivered to client on time
+ Anticipate and solve creative problems and vendor or in-house production timeline issues in conjunction with management to meet deadlines
+ Stay current in event design trends, technology, props/design elements, vendor products and share with/train teams to inspire creativity
+ Supervise daily work assignments for employees, ensuring that timelines established in pre-planning meetings are met and desired results are achieved
+ Supervise assigned staff to include: hiring recommendations that encompass the company’s diversity commitment, training, coaching, performance feedback and counseling; approve administrative requests, including time-off
+ Schedule employees, monitor efficiency, quality of work, and timelines; order outside labor as needed
+ Communicate project status and timelines with internal departments, clients and vendors to maintain satisfaction
+ Participate in event production, installation/tear down and loading/unloading of vehicles as needed
+ Create a SHOW Service work environment promoting creativity, collaboration, teamwork, recognition, mutual respect and employee satisfaction
+ Actively promote MREP within the company and the events industry
+ Perform other duties as assigned
**SUPERVISION:**
+ Special Projects Artists
**MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:**
+ High school diploma or equivalent
+ Two (2) years of experience in the events industry, hospitality, or a related field.
+ Work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays
**PREFERRED:**
+ Two (2) or Four (4) year degree in design, construction, theatrical or related industry
+ One (1) year of experience in equipment or inventory databases or project tracking software
+ Two (2) years of experience in prop fabrication, construction or events industry
+ Two (2) years of supervisory, lead or equivalent experience
+ Experience working in a similar setting
+ Portfolio required; must complete a design test within a specific time frame
**CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:**
+ Have or be able to obtain a Nevada Driver’s License
**KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:**
+ Knowledgeable of and/or talent in carpentry, paint, fabric, foam and/or other media
+ Knowledgeable of determining staffing needs, scheduling and managing workflow for a large staff
+ Knowledgeable of specialty production practices, tools, equipment and techniques
+ Able to operate hand and power tools, scissor lift, forklift and to lift items, push and pull carts
+ Able to develop clear knowledge of hotels/venues, dock/security procedures and ballroom specs
+ Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and verbal forms
+ Able to lead and mentor a team
+ Ability to multi-task and work well in a fast paced, team-oriented environment
+ Proficiency of computer software to include Outlook, MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint as well as office equipment, i.e. telephone, copier, fax machine
+ Excellent organizational skills to function effectively under time constraints and within established deadlines, with particular attention to detail
+ Excellent customer service skills and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all business contacts
