**PRIMARY PURPOSE:**

As a Gourmet Vendeur, you will be responsible for selling, preparing and serving food and beverage items. You will also set the stage for guest experience with your welcoming smile and service. By understanding their unique stories and needs, you will own their experience to create **WOW** memories they will carry with them far and beyond their stay with us.

**PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:**

+ Exhibit proper knowledge, selling techniques and service delivery of all items on the menu

+ Communicate with management, chefs and culinary staff in order to fulfill and address any issues or needs requested by guests and or other employees

+ Take and input orders into micros, receive payment and make proper change, complete required transactions, and categorize tendered receipts by media type

+ Prepare and serve food and beverage items to guest as necessary

+ Refill viennoiserie, pastries, gelatos, ice coolers, reach in beverage coolers, reach in pantry coolers and condiment drawer

+ Be aware of expiration date for cookies and other confectionery

+ Maintain the cleanliness and the appearance of the front, dining, back and all storage areas

+ Use and clean equipment such as juicer, coffee maker, toaster, panini machine, blender, soda machine, oven and steamer

+ Unload warehouse order and stock the order in designated storage

+ Perform other job-related duties as requested

**KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:**

+ Knowledgeable about health and safety regulations

+ Ability to use standard kitchen equipment, including, but not limited to toasters, refrigerators/coolers, slicers, beverage machines

+ Excellent customer service skills

+ Able to lead and mentor a team

+ Excellent customer service skills and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all business contacts

+ Knowledgeable of computers and Point of Sale (POS) systems

**MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:**

+ High school diploma or equivalent

+ Two (2) years of experience as a food handler in a similar, high-volume, fast paced restaurant environment

+ Work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays

**PREFERRED:**

+ Experience working in a similar resort setting
