**PRIMARY PURPOSE:**
As a Cook Helper, you will be responsible for being knowledgeable of food products. You will also set the stage for the guest experience with your welcoming smile and service. By understanding their unique stories and needs, you will own their experience to create **WOW** memories they will carry with them far and beyond their stay with us.
**PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:**
+ Ensure requisitions are processed properly and placed in the designated areas
+ Maintain solid knowledge of food products
+ Identify and safely use kitchen equipment
+ Regularly run for food and restock kitchen supplies and food items required for service
+ Properly label and date products to ensure safekeeping and sanitation
+ Assist the Pantry Workers, Cooks, Master Cook and Chef as needed in the execution of services
+ Work as a team, assist guests and employees with their needs and inquiries
**KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:**
+ Ability to apply basic knife skills for preparation
+ Maintain a solid menu knowledge and attention to detail with plate presentation
+ Communicate with management, chefs, and service staff in order to fulfill and address any issues or needs requested by guests and employees
+ Knowledge of health, safety, and sanitation regulations
+ Able to take initiative and exhibit flexibility
+ Highly motivated and energetic personality
+ Excellent customer service skills and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all business contacts
**MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:**
+ Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays
**PREFERRED:**
+ High school diploma or equivalent
+ Six (6) months of experience in basic food preparation
+ Experience working in a similar resort setting
