CAGE CASHIER I (PART TIME)
Job Description
It is the primary responsibility of the Cage Cashier I to handle monetary transactions and exchanges with guests. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and property policies, practices, and procedures.
Specific Job Functions:
– Maintain a professional and pleasant attitude with guests and co-workers
– Redeem guests chips, slot machine tickets and Race and Sports tickets after book hours
– Handle cash for cash exchanges
– Accept marker payments and front money deposits
– Issue cage markers and customer deposit withdrawals
– Utilize computer terminals for the cashing of guests personal and / or payroll checks
– Maintain chip purchases and EZ Pay Ticket purchases (slot machine tickets)
– Perform credit / debit card transactions through cash advance systems
– Assist Patrons in obtaining Casino Credit in absence of credit clerk
– Handle exchange of foreign currency and chips
– Maintain bank by keeping transactions and paperwork organized
– Adhere to the turn-in time lines of the Main and Chip Banks
– Ability to work Front Window Bank and Employee Bank proficiently
– Maintain a thorough knowledge of Title 31
– Enter cash transactions and negotiable items into Title 31 Resort Advantage system
– Balance bank at the end of shift by making sure to start and end the shift with the same amount of money
– Adhere strictly to all Gaming Regulations
– Perform all duties as deemed necessary for the success of the department
– Must be at least 21 years of age
– Must have, or be able to obtain, Gaming Registration
– Must possess excellent guest service and communication skills
– One year prior cash handling experience required.
– Must have excellent money handling skills
– Basic computer skills are necessary
– Good attendance and a “Positive” attitude a must
