Butler II
Job Description
**PRIMARY PURPOSE:**
It is the primary responsibility of the Butler to provide guests with full service during their stay and assist with any special requests.
**PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:**
+ Greet guests in a positive, friendly manner and make them feel welcome
+ Guide guests through all phases of their experience
+ Exhibit proper knowledge and service delivery of both non and alcoholic beverages as well as menu items of every course
+ Follow sequence of service utilizing all proper procedures standardized by management
+ Item bills correctly
+ Maintain cleanliness and stock of assigned areas, side stations, tables and POS stations
+ Anticipate the guests’ needs and respond appropriately with a sense of urgency
+ Work as a team and assist all guests’ and employees’ needs and inquiries
+ Perform other job-related duties as requested
**KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:**
+ Knowledge of menu items, including characteristics of wine and champagne by the glass, major wines, liquor brands, beer, non-alcoholic beverages, designated glassware, terminology, and garnishes
+ Knowledge of health, safety and sanitation regulations
+ Knowledge of standard kitchen equipment and supplies, including, but not limited to toasters, refrigerators, and coolers, slicers and beverage machines
+ Able to provide butler services including but not limited to care of male and female wardrobe
+ Ability to work under pressure
+ Basic knowledge of Point of Sale system and computer software to include Outlook, MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint as well as office equipment, i.e. telephone, copier, fax machine
+ Effective listening abilities with strong judgment skills
+ Excellent customer service skills and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all business contacts
**MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:**
+ High school diploma or equivalent
+ One (1) year of experience as a server in a fine dining establishment
+ Work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays
**PREFERRED:**
+ Five (5) years of experience as a server in a fine dining establishment
+ Experience working in a similar resort setting
