Baker Helper Patisserie – Aria
Job Description
**PRIMARY PURPOSE:**
As a Baker Helper, you will be responsible for preparing dishes by following recipes and yield guides. You will also set the stage for guest experience with your welcoming smile and service. By understanding their unique stories and needs, you will own their experience to create **WOW** memories they will carry with them far and beyond their stay with us.
**PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:**
+ Maintain solid knowledge of all food products
+ Identify and safely use all kitchen equipment
+ Prepare dishes following recipes and yield guides
+ Apply basic knife skills required for preparation
+ Plate desserts
+ Work as a team, assisting all guest and employee needs and inquiries
+ Deliver food and equipment as necessary to banquet event venues/rooms
+ Communicate with management, chefs and service staff in order to fulfill and address any issue or needs requested by guests and/or other employees
**KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:**
+ Knowledge of basic equipment to include, but not limited to a slicing machine, mixers, and small wares equipment
+ Knowledgeable of health, safety and sanitation procedures
+ Working knowledge of weights and measures
+ Excellent customer service skills and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all business contacts
**MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:**
+ High school diploma or equivalent
+ Work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays
**PREFERRED:**
+ One (1) year of helper experience or Pastry school graduate
+ Formal culinary training
+ Experience working in a similar resort setting
