**PRIMARY PURPOSE:**
As an Assistant Chocolatier Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for assisting the Pastry Chef and Bakers. You will also set the stage for guest experience with your welcoming smile and service. By understanding their unique stories and needs, you will own their experience to create **WOW** memories they will carry with them far and beyond their stay with us. This position is relocation eligible!
**PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:**
+ Ensure requisitions are processed properly and placed in designated area
+ Restock kitchen supplies and food items required for service
+ Label and date products to ensure safekeeping and sanitation
+ Maintain production knowledge and attention to detail with decoration and taste quality
+ Assist Pastry Chef, other Assistant Pastry Chefs, bakers, and helpers as needed in execution of production
+ Conduct training for bakers and helpers on job responsibilities
+ Communicate with management and service staff in order to fulfill and address any issues or needs requested by guests and employees
+ Assist Executive Chef and Pastry Chef by controlling food and labor cost, and establish goals and objectives that focus on profit, product and people
+ Assist Executive Chef and Pastry Chef by controlling of purchasing, receiving, purveyor lists and inventory of all kitchen items
+ Perform other job-related duties as requested
**KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:**
+ Knowledge of bakery equipment to include, but not limited to a slicing machine, mixers, VCR, and small wares equipment
+ Knowledge of health, safety and sanitation regulations
+ Knowledge of weights, measures and various baking and preparation techniques
+ Strong knowledge of American and European pastries
+ Excellent customer service skills and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all business contacts
**PREFERRED:**
+ Three (3) years in a similar resort setting with formal culinary training.
+ (2-3) years working as a Chocolatier.
+ Artistic baking abilities.
